Luke was invited to Guisborough Methodist by Revd Kevin Highfield, to speak to the congretation about his work on child poverty during his time as Cabinet Member for Children in Redcar & Cleveland.

Luke said: “It was a pleasure to be invited to Guisborough Methodist this evening to speak about the work I’ve led on the council to tackle child poverty. This church, like so many in our area, has a real determination to help people with the cost of living crisis & make life fairer for people.”
