A Coulby Newham man has finally received treatment after spending more than a year suffering with a painful infection. The resident, who has a learning disability, faced repeated delays getting the problem treated before his family turned to Luke Myer MP for help.

Luke and his team took up the case and escalated it directly with the NHS trust, pressing for the treatment to be expedited. Following Luke’s intervention, a date was secured and the resident underwent surgery in April.
