Luke Myer MP recently visited Nunthorpe Primary Academy, where he held a Q&A with the school’s enthusiastic Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
During the visit, students shared a range of imaginative and thoughtful ideas for improving their local area — from adding more playgrounds and litter bins to exploring the use of green energy. Luke praised the pupils for their creativity and community spirit.
He was particularly impressed by the depth and curiosity of their questions, which covered a wide range of topics including local job opportunities, community policing, and even international affairs.
“It was fantastic to see such passion and interest from young people in Nunthorpe,” Luke said. “They had so much to say about the future of their community — it’s clear it’s in very safe hands!”
