Army Resettlement Payment Secured for Hemlington Veteran

Luke Myer MP has helped a Hemlington veteran secure the resettlement lump sum she was entitled to after 14 years of service as a military nurse. The payment had initially been refused due to an administrative issue, leaving her without vital support during her transition back to civilian life.

After Luke raised the case with the Ministry of Defence, the matter was reviewed and the payment confirmed. The constituent has since received assurance from JPAC that the lump sum is being processed.

Even small administrative barriers can have a major impact on veterans rebuilding their lives after service. Luke continues to stand up for former service personnel across Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, ensuring they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

Anyone needing help with armed forces, veterans’ or service transition issues can email luke.myer.mp@parliament.uk, visit Luke’s Guisborough constituency office, or book a face-to-face appointment at lukemyer.uk/surgeries.
