Hospital parking charges cancelled after Luke steps in

30 June 2026

A Marton family has had two hospital parking charges cancelled after Luke Myer MP stepped in to help.

The constituent contacted Luke after receiving repeated parking charges while his family attended essential appointments at James Cook University Hospital. His family included disabled passengers, while his young baby was undergoing treatment. Luke took the case directly to ParkingEye and asked the company to urgently review both charges given the family’s circumstances. ParkingEye swiftly confirmed that both charges had been cancelled and the matter closed. The constituent thanked Luke for his intervention, saying the cancellation was a direct result of Luke’s efforts.
