Today (Sunday 20 April), Luke Myer MP attended an Easter Sunday service at Guisborough Methodist Church with his family.
He joined the coffee morning afterwards, and spent time speaking to local residents as well as Rev. Kevin Highfield.
He also published a message of good wishes to all constituents to mark the holiday.
Luke Myer MP said: “I want to wish all our local families and communities a very happy Easter Sunday. Easter is the most important time in the Christian calendar – when we come together to remember Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and the hope of his resurrection.
It is a time for family and community, and a time to celebrate new life and new hope.
As we do, we also remember all Christians around the world facing persecution, and treasure Britain’s strong traditions of religious tolerance and freedom of speech.
However you are spending this Easter, I hope that you have a happy and peaceful time.”
