Luke joins Remembrance services across Guisborough ward

Remembrance service at Upleatham

Luke Myer MP joined residents across Guisborough ward to pay tribute on Remembrance Sunday, attending services in Upleatham, Newton under Roseberry, Dunsdale, and the main Guisborough town commemoration. He was joined across the ward by Labour Councillor Bill Suthers and the Mayor of Guisborough, Peter Berry.

The Guisborough service saw a large turnout, with representatives from the Armed Forces community, local organisations, youth groups, and civic dignitaries. Luke marched in a cross party group in the town parade before laying a wreath on behalf of the constituency at the war memorial.

Reflecting on the day, Luke said it was a privilege to stand alongside residents to honour the service and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for our freedoms. He thanked the Royal British Legion, local clergy, volunteers, and community groups who made each ceremony possible.
