This Remembrance Sunday, Luke Myer MP will join residents across Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland in honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Mr. Myer will attend multiple ceremonies throughout the constituency on Sunday, 10th November, including Easington, Brotton, Carlin How, Skinningrove, Lingdale, Boosbeck and Guisborough’s Festival of Remembrance, laying wreaths and paying respects to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service. He will also attend the ceremony for the Laying of the First Poppy at Middlesbrough Cenotaph.
Reflecting on the significance of Remembrance Day, Luke Myer MP said:
“On Remembrance Day, we honour those whose service and sacrifice shaped the freedoms we cherish today. Laying a wreath at ceremonies across Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland is not just a tribute, but a promise that their courage and service will never be forgotten. Their legacy lives on through us, woven into the fabric of our communities and the democratic values we hold dear. Their memory will be cherished with honour and respect.”
Each wreath laid across the constituency is a symbol of the community’s collective gratitude and respect for those who served. These ceremonies offer a moment for communities to come together and reflect, united in remembrance of the fallen. As people of all generations gather, they honour not only those who gave their lives but also the values of courage, duty, and resilience that continue to inspire us today.
