Following the tragic deaths of PC Tom Clough & PC Matthew Blades at the weekend, and a spate of serious incidents this week, Cleveland’s Labour MPs met with the Government’s Minister for Policing & Fire Sarah Jones yesterday.

The meeting focused on funding for Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade, and a statement from Luke Myer MP, Jonathan Brash MP and Andy McDonald MP is below.

While Anna Turley MP and Chris McDonald MP are bound by collective responsibility and therefore cannot make a statement, they were also in the meeting with the Minister and are working closely with Luke, Andy and Jonathan to support Cleveland’s emergency services.
