This week, Tees Valley MPs met with the Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonny Reynolds to discuss investment in our region.
It’s been a historic week for industrial investment here, with the Government securing a series of landmark agreements to create thousands of jobs – carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, safeguarding Hitachi Rail and protecting nuclear at Hartlepool.
But it doesn’t stop there. Following these major announcements, Luke discussed with the Secretary of State our vital steel sector, from Liberty in Hartlepool to Special Profiles at Skinningrove in our area.
This Government has shown that it is serious about securing the future of Teesside and bringing jobs into the region. No stunts or gimmicks: just grown-up partnerships with the private sector to deliver the jobs we need.
