Today (13 February), Teessiders welcomed King Charles III and Queen Camilla to Middlesbrough.
Luke Myer MP joined crowds of people to welcome their Majesties, including pupils from Marton Manor Primary and The Avenue.
Sara, aged nine, from Marton Manor Primary said: “I’m very excited to see the King and Queen. I hope I can give them some daffodils.”
Her Majesty Queen Camilla accepted the daffodils and cuddly corgi from the school’s Year 5 Ambassadors.
The celebration event, organised by Middlesbrough Council with the support of Teesside University also saw live performances from Mike McGrother and his Infant Hercules Choir and band The Wildcats of Kilkenny.
His Majesty the King went on to visit a wind turbine manufacture facility locally, part of the exciting new investment in green jobs on Teesside.
