Luke Myer MP has been delighted to announce the winner of his 2025 Christmas Card Competition, following another year of outstanding entries from schools across Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland.
The winner this year is Henry from Pennyman Primary Academy! His festive design will be used as Luke’s official Christmas card. Henry’s artwork will be sent to organisations and colleagues across the country, including a copy for the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Hundreds of designs were submitted, making the decision a difficult one for Luke and his team. The entries reflected not only creativity and imagination, but also the pride young people take in their schools and communities. Luke said the quality of artwork on display made choosing a single winner a real challenge.
Luke Myer MP said:
“The standard this year was incredibly high. I was genuinely impressed by the creativity and effort that went into so many of the entries. Henry’s design really stood out, and he should be very proud of his hard work.”
Luke thanked every child and school that took part, as well as the staff who supported pupils with their entries, and said the competition once again brought a welcome bit of festive cheer. He added that he is already looking forward to seeing what young people come up with next year.
