Young people in Hemlington are invited to enjoy an evening of games, food, and positive activities this Saturday as the popular Boro Bus arrives at Hemlington Recreation Centre from 4pm to 7pm.
The Boro Bus, run by youth provider Linx in partnership with the MFC Foundation, is returning to the area after Hemlington ward councillors Nicky Walker and Tom Mohan secured funding to bring it to their community.
The event offers a welcoming space for local youngsters to get together, try out video games, and enjoy free snacks and drinks.
Alongside the fun, the session will also feature an important workshop focused on raising awareness about the dangers of knife crime and encouraging young people to stay away from anti social behaviour. The aim is to provide support, guidance, and positive choices in a relaxed environment.
The organisers hope the evening will give young people in Hemlington a safe and enjoyable place to spend time while opening up conversations about issues that can have a serious impact on local communities.
