Luke was delighted to open the new Family Hub at Skelton – which he helped to deliver as Cabinet Member for Children in Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council. The new centre will include services for children of all ages, from birth registration up to teenagers, working with the Youth Centre next door.

From Little Explorers on a Monday, to baby sessions on a Wednesday, to HENRY sessions on a Thursday or much more – there’s something for every family. 

Luke said: “We’re so proud of our transformation programme at all of the Family Hub sites across Redcar & Cleveland. It’s about bringing together services right at the community level – for example, here in Skelton, as well as council services we also have support from midwives, birth registrars, VCS organisations like The Link, and our youth service for teenagers too.”
